Runway Inspired Baby Shower!!!

Here is a card for a Runway Inspired Baby Shower!

This card was inspired by the photo above. (such a cute photo!)  I stamped the turtle on a piece of white cardstock, adhered it, stamped the sentiment and added the blue paper strip under the turtle, though I'm not sure I did everything in that order :)
I was inspired by some of the colors in the photo, which I used on my card.

CAS-ual Fridays: Back in Black (6th entry)

Here is my 6th entry for this week's CAS-ual Fridays challenge.

For this card, I did black on black...which I think looks pretty neat!
I punched butterflies from black cardstock, and added them to the card base.
I stamped the sentiment with pigment ink.

CAS-ual Fridays: Back in Black (5th entry)

Here is my 5th entry for this week's CAS-ual Fridays challenge.

I think black and rainbow colors look good together, so I punched a bunch of butterflies and added them to my black card base. I stamped the sentiment before I added them.

CAS-ual Fridays: Back in Black (4th entry)

Here is my 4th entry for this week's CAS-ual Fridays challenge.

I tried a new technique for me, stamping in pigment ink, and coloring over it with colored pencils. I don't think it turned out too well.

CAS-ual Fridays: Back in Black (3rd entry)

Here is my 3rd entry for this week's CAS-ual Fridays challenge.

I layed down strips of adhesive, and peeled off the backing and poured the glitter on.
Then I stamped the sentiment.

CAS-ual Fridays: Back in Black (2nd entry)

Hello again! I'm back with another card for this week's CAS-ual Fridays challenge.

I stamped the doily/starburst and the sentiment on the card base, and I was done!  I was very happy with the result.
Here are a few pictures from what I've been up to lately...

This is me and one of my best friends, Emma, at the Geneseo Festival, helping with the tent outside of our church's cafe.

We went swimming last Thursday, and this is me getting ready to jump off the diving board.

CAS-ual Fridays: Back in Black

Hello everyone!
I sure have been away for awhile, we've been super busy... but I'm back (for now) and I have an entry for this week's CAS-ual Fridays challenge, which was to use a black card base.

I stamped the butterflies on a panel of black cardstock, adhered it and stamped the sentiment.
It seems like forever since I joined in a challenge. I am happy I get to join in this one!

CAS-ual Fridays: Text Me!

Here is my final entry for this week's CAS-ual Fridays challenge.

I masked the flower petals, and added a sentiment.

CAS-ual Fridays: Text Me!

Here is my 4th entry for this week's CAS-ual Fridays challenge.

I stamp kissed the polka dots square, then inked the stamp in the same color the square was, and lined it up and stamped it over the butterfly on the square.

CAS-ual Fridays: Text Me!

Here is my 3rd entry for this week's CAS-ual Fridays challenge.

This card pretty much speaks for itself. No sentiment. Just an image, and no other colors beside black and white.

CAS-ual Fridays: Text Me!

Here is my 2nd entry for this week's CAS-ual Fridays challenge.

I stamped on both the yellow panel and the card, and made sure they were lined up.

CAS-ual Fridays: Text Me!

Hello everyone! here is my first entry for this week's CAS-ual Fridays challenge.

The challenge this week was to use text in your card.

I punched a circle from some packaging for something, stamp kissed the flower stamp, stamped it, added it and a sentiment to the card, and added gems and the tape.

Play Date Cafe 139: 3rd entry

Here is my 3rd entry for this week's Play Date Cafe challenge. The colors are silver, gold and nude.

I embossed the silver and gold dots, with my new embossing gun that was given to me, by the super sweet Cristina Kowalczyk. Thanks so much Cristina! I added some small paper strips to frame the dots, and tore the edges of the bottom strip. I finished it with a sentiment and a row of dots.

We are going to be pretty busy the next couple days, because, like I mentioned in an earlier post, we have a festival that our church sells chicken kabobs at, and our church's cafe has a tent outside of the cafe for the festival, and we help with it & the kabobs. We are planning to Lord-willing made 1,000 kabobs this year! Yikes! We also could have up to 4 of my friends sleeping over at our house for the festival, since they would be helping too. I'm really looking forward too it! I hope I'll have time to post some photos!

Play Date Cafe 139: 2nd entry

Here is my 2nd entry for this week's Play Date Cafe challenge. The colors this week are silver, gold and nude.

I spritzed some gold shimmer mist on the card, I hope you can see it.
I added a ripped piece of silver patterned paper, and a gold metal embellishment from Tim Holtz. I finished it off with some clear gems.
