My Own Favorite Cards for 2012

I thought I would post my own favorite cards of 2012...and in a bit I'm going to do my favorite other people's cards of 2012. Here they are, in no order:

I really loved the way this card turned out. It took me awhile to do the stamping and embossing and coloring on the cardstock strips, and then when I laid everything out on the card and finished it, I was so glad with it!

I was so happy when I finished this card. And I had lots of fun making it! I got to play with paint, glitter and gems! I loved the way the splatter of everything seemed to come from the sentiment area.

I was so happy when I thought of stamping a punched circle then cutting it in half to make something similar to an orange slice. :)

I LOVE this card so much! It took quite awhile to do all the fussy cutting for those butterflies, but when I put everything together the card just seemed so beautiful!

I was very excited when this card got a VIP award from CAS-ual Fridays. I love the whole layout of everything.

This card took quite awhile to make. All that stamping, fussy-cutting, adhering things to the card, etc. But it was worth it.

This card just seems so happy to me! I guess it's the colors and the way the circles seem so free-flowing.
And I got to work with watercolors while making it, and I just love being able to use watercolors on my cards.

This card kinda surprised me when I was done with it. I couldn't believe everything looked so well. The whole design of the card, the colors. :) I simply love it.

I'm not sure why I love this card so much. Maybe it's because I love leaves. And I just love how it's so simple but so lovely and kind of elegant at the same time.

This card was actually for a CASE study challenge. But I just love the colors of everything and the whole idea with the leaves. I love forests and all those leaves remind of one.

I hope you enjoyed this post!

Happy New Year!

Papertrey Ink Make It Monday #97: 2012 A la Carte

Hello! I haven't been around in awhile, but I'm back with a card for the current Papertrey Ink Make it Monday. The theme was to pick any MIM from the past year! I picked #58 Graduated Backrounds.

Here is my card:

I did the backround using Copics, then stamped the sentiment and branches. Then I added lots of gems to finish the card up. And I love the way it turned out!

I hope everyone had a great Christmas. We have LOTS of snow here!
Happy New Year!

CAS(E) This Sketch Challenge #7 (2nd entry!)

Here is my 2nd entry for the current CAS(E) This Sketch Challenge.

Here is the sketch.

And here is my card:

For this card, I cut LOTS of small pieces of some colors of cardstock I picked out. I then put them together on a piece of white cardstock, trimmed it, added some stripes of white cardstock to it, adhered it to the card along with the 2 bigger blue stripes below it and the one near the top, and added a sentiment and some gems. I'm pretty happy with it. :)

CAS(E) This Sketch Challenge #7

Hello! I have a card for the current CAS(E) This Sketch Challenge #7.

Here is the sketch:

I stamped using watercolors for this card.
I painted the watercolors onto the stamp, and stamped the image multiple times. I wanted the the card to have a messy, artsy look.

I added some watercolor splatters, and stamped the row of dots in watercolors, and stamped a sentiment.
