CASE Study DT Search Entry!

Hey again! We haven't been too busy this week yet, besides school and stuff. Yesterday we had to sight in  our .22, because it was waaaaay off. It wasn't hitting any target at all, but now it should!
Here I am again with my first (yes...I said first....and if you know me...then you know there will be many more to come in the following days!) entry for the CASE Study DT Search!
Here was my personal Muse card, from the talented Dawn Mcvey.

OK. So this card is seriously not my style. I like it, but it's just not me. But for the CASE Study DT Search, the post said that you need be able to work with and adapt other styles. So I picked this.
And here is my CASE of it:

I pretty much CASED the design of Dawn's card. I hope you can see it on my card!

I started with a larger image, like the arm chair in Dawn's card, but in my card, its just a large area of watercolor strokes with a sentiment on it. Then the two other areas over the armchair, in Dawn's card they are the sentiments, and in my card, more watercolor stroke areas.

I also just had to add some splatters...oh, how I can never get enough of them!
And I added some paint brush marks with a real brush, not a stamp. :)

So that's it for now.
Be back tomorrow, I think. ;)

CASE Study #138

Hey everyone! Hope you're week have been going good. I woke up with a sore throat this morning, and it only got worse through the day. ugh. It hurts so bad. oh well. I have a card for the current CASE Study challenge....and here is the amazing Muse card:

And here is my CASE on it:

I CASEd the "sky" look on the muse card. When thinking how I wanted to CASE it, I thought of sky, which lead me to think of sunsets, which lead me to create this card. :)

I used this tree mask I got for Christmas, and layered various pigment inks over it. I also added some gorgeous gold ink!

The sentiment is gold too, but it's a bit hard to see.

Be back with another post for today in a few minutes!

10 Minute Craft Dash!

Hi, and good evening! I hope your weekend is going great. We are getting the garden going, and we stacked     a bunch of wood too. :) Here's a card for the current 10 minute craft dash.

I used an ikat theme on the card...and this stamp is so much fun to work with! Lots and lots of ideas!

It took me seven minutes and six seconds to make this. Woohoo!

Well, thats about it!

Muse Challenge #14 again!

Here's another card for the current Muse challenge! Here's the lovely card by Muse Virginia Lu!

And here is my card:

ooh, how I love the way this turned out!

I was inspired by the design of Virginia's card. The way the sentiment was on the card, and the flowers stamped all around it.

I added some splatters and real paint brush strokes after the stamping.

Have a great weekend!!!

And here is my card:

I stamped the hexagons with chalk ink. :)

I gave a purple shadow look to the sentiment..I love the look when sentiments are done like this!

A card using small, underused stamps

Hello again! A little bit ago, the amazing and super talented Cristina Kowalczyk posted a challenge on her blog to used the smaller, underused stamps as a big part of your card. So I decided to join in! I used the small row of dots from the Everday Sayings set from Hero Arts.

Do you see the stamp? I also used one of the tiny flowers in the set too.

I stamped the dots over and over and over again on a piece of cardstock, along with some little flowers before cutting the stamped cardstock into various sized strips.

I went with a green card base to match the bit of green in the stamped images.

Well, I hope you like it! And thanks for the fun challenge Cristina! :)

It's been awhile since I've been around...sorry for that! But I'm gonna make up for it tonight with two posts! Yay! My first post tonight is for the current Runway Inspired Challenge. Here was the inspiration this time round:

And here is my card:

I was inspired by the colors of the dress, black and white.

I stamped a bunch of ikat images from one of the amazing Maile Belles Papertrey Ink sets.
Oh how I love everything Maile does! :)

I also had two cards in the current issue of Papercrafts magazine! I am so excited, this is my first Papercrafts publication! :)

CAS-ual Fridays: All that Glitters

Sorry I haven't been around for awhile. It's not that we've been that busy, but the cards I made were mostly to submit to Papercrafts magazine...so I skipped out on challenge for a bit. But now I'm back! I've got an entry for this week's CAS-ual Fridays challenge! The theme was to use some kind of sparkle/bling!

I put a bunch of adhesive tape down on some cardstock in a gingham pattern. Then I poured on the glitter!

Hope you have a wonderful day!

Get Scrappy Bloghop!

Hey everyone, and good morning! Today I'm participating in the Get Scrappy Bloghop over at Cut, Crops & Creativity with Chaitali Narla.   The bloghop is all about using your scraps! Let's get started:

I have lots of scraps....and I store the patterned paper ones all together, shown above. So I sorted through them all, and picked out some nice ones that went together, such as ones from the same collection.

The ones above are scraps from the Mira collection from K&Co. This is most likely my fav patterned paper collection. ever.

So I punched a bunch of various shapes from the scraps. Circles, leaves, butterflies, scalloped circles.
Then I adhered them all to the cardbase.

I added a panel with a sentiment stamped over it to the whole card, along with some gems, and there you have it! The finished card. So, one way to use your scraps is to punch various shapes from them.
And now for a 2nd card, using scraps a different way (and using a different patterned paper collection):

So for this card, I cut the scraps into small strips, then adhered them to the card.

So yet another way to use your scraps is to cut them into small strips.
And now for my last card:

I used another patterned paper collection, and this time again punched some shapes. And I used both the negative areas from the cardstock, and the punched out shapes.

I punched out some scalloped circles, and used the negative punched out areas, and the circles that came out of them, which I flipped over so the pattern on the other side would show.
I adhered all the various scraps to my card base, and also added some yellow watercolor splatters.

I hope you enjoyed my cards...and be sure to go see everyone else's projects.A
And you can go to Chaitali's blog and create a project yourself, to link up, for a chance to win a prize!
Also be sure to comment on everyone's posts for another chance at a prize!
Next you should be going to  Joyce's blog

and here is the master list in case you get lost on the way   :)

Chevron Challenge in the Moxie Fab World

*This is my 4th post today!!!*

I'm not a too big fan of chevrons. But I do love the chevron pattern I can make from the Irresistibly Ikat set for Papertrey Ink. So I  made a card for the Chevron Challenge in the Moxie Fab World.

I did a tone-on-tone chevron backround here, using some kraft ink on kraft cardstock. I really love doing a tone-on-tone look. So pretty. :)

I also added a sentiment, and some lines in black.

I cannot believe I am going to be 17 next Tuesday!!!  I'm looking forward to having my friends over this Saturday for a b-day party, though. Hopefully we are going to watch The Hobbit. :D

Cardstock: (kraft ) Papertrey Ink
Clear Stamps: (line from Backround Basics: Super Stripes set, chevron from Irresistibly Ikat set, sentiment from Think Big Favorites # 5) Papertrey Ink
Dye Ink: (Classic Kraft, ?True Black?) Papertrey Ink

Ombre Challenge in the Moxie Fab World

*This is my 3rd post today*

Ombre. How I love it. So pretty and so many ways to use it. And I'm here with a card for the Ombre Challenge in the Moxie Fab World.

The main ombre element here is the large shape made of dots, and I seriously CANNOT think of what to call it! A circle shape, dot shape, dot spot, etc., etc. LOL.

I stamped and embossed the circle shape, and then added various colors to it with a tissue, starting with a dark blue and working my way out to a nice light blue. I also added some splatters and some more ink on the edges of the card.

And, of course, I used blue, because it is my favorite color. :)
