Blue & Yellow Flowers

Hello! I've been doing my post at night lately...LOL. :) Anyway, I've got a card for the current AEI♥U challenge.
Here was the inspiration sketch:

Isn't it lovely? I love all those circles! Here is my interpretation:

I used one of the wonderful Avery Elle Free Digi stamps.

I printed a bunch of the digi stamps, and colored the flowers then cut them out. That took awhile but was soooo worth it!

I also colored a bunch of lines on a cardstock panel with some splatters for where the tag is on the sketch.

I am so very happy with this card! :)

Have a great day!

Birthday Arrows

Here is my 2nd entry for the current 10 Minute Craft Dash.

Aren't the colors gorgeous!?

I stamped the backround with a really neat Studio Calico stamp. So neat!

As in my other card, I don't have a good shade of grey as in the photo, so my gray is much darker.

Hi there! I've got a card for the current 10 Minute Craft Dash. Here were the colors:

I used a darker shade of grey because that is all I had. :(

I stamped that lovely border three times and then added a sentiment, and thats it.

I'll be back with a 2nd entry in a few minutes! See ya then!

Neon Birthday!

Hello! I'm back again today with a card for the current CAS-ual Fridays challenge. The challenge this week was to create a card with something that goes off the edge! Lots of fun!

I couldn't decide which backround of patterned paper I wanted for this card, so there is two of them with the denim, and another two with a much softer blue backround. :)

I used some of the lovely Hero Arts Neon Inks on this card. I did some die cuts which I stamped and put over the edge!

Thats 'bout all for me today! I am getting all excited since we are going on vacation next month! yay! We are going to the Mall of America and some other things. Anybody been there? This is my first vacation in about 3 years! Super excited! I hope I'm going to remember to take lots of photos and videos.

Fusion Challenge #12

Hey there! I've got a card for the Fusion Challenge #12 tonight!

I chose to do Lesley's challenge, using the inspiration photo.

I took my inspiration from the bright, bold colors in the photo. So I pulled out some bold colors of inks and stamped some images from Sketched Shapes.

By the way, sorry the photos are so bad. :(

Well, I should be back tomorrow.

Today was one of my best friend's birthday! Yay! We went over to their house for a party. :)

Live

Here's another card for this week's CAS-ual Fridays challenge.

This one's an super-ultra clean and simple card. But I love it! Here you go:

I stamped the globe, and then colored it in with some Spectrum Noir markers, in an ombre fashion.

I'm quite happy with it. :)

That's all for me today. I don't have to work today, so I hope to get some papercrafting time in! Yay!

CAS-ual Fridays: Mapquest

Hi again! Sorry I haven't posted in awhile. I've been quite busy. But I did make a couple cards for this week's CAS-ual Fridays challenge. And here is the first:

I 'm not sure anybody else will like this card, but I do. I enjoyed using the markers to create the backround, and making it look like a "sunset" (kinda). Those dots don't really make it look like a sunset. LOL.

I used some Spectrum Noir markers to make the backround.

BTW, what do you think of how my photos are turning out? I'm quite pleased, and have found a way to take them so that they turn out great. I also find using patterned paper as a backround really helps.

Just For You

Hey there! Hope you had a nice day. I've got a card today that I made for a DT Call, but I was once again rejected. :( The cool part about this card: It was made in under 10 Minutes! woohoo!

We went to a used homeschool book sale today. It was lots of fun.
My mom and some people from our church sold some stuff, and I watched some kids that are nieces and nephews to some of my best friends. They are so adorable. We did some stuff, like playing tag with them and some of my best friends.
I also got to hang out with my best friends, William, Emma and Jacob. Emma cut her leg pretty bad on a nail last week so she couldn't do much. But we did do some stuff. But it never seems like enough time when you are with your best friends. They have a snack shop where the sale is and I got to buy candy for the kids I watched. :)

Anyway, thats all for me tonight.

Lots and Lots of Hexagons

Good morning! I know its a little early in the morning for me to be doing a blog post, but I was able to get up early and get some stuff done, so I had some time to sit down and write a post. :) I've got a card for this week's CAS-ual Fridays challenge. The theme this week was to make a congratulations card.

First, let me say, I am so sorry the photos aren't that good. I just took them this morning and it is rainy and overcast, so they aren't the best.

I stamped a cardstock panel with lots of hexagons, and added some black lines at the bottom.

I simply stamped the flowers and sentiment and then made some dye ink watercolors, and colored in the flowers.

Well, thats all for me tonight! Be back soon!

Blue Ombre

Hello! Today I've got a card for the May AEI<3U Challenge! Yay! Here is the gorgeous inspiration photo:

I was inspired by the ombre look...how the water went from the lighter blue to the much darker blue. So I used that as my inspiration.

I used one of the free digital stamps from Avery Elle...but instead of using it as lanterns, as they were intended to be, I used them as balls, or circles, or whatever you think they should be called! :)
I was kinda thinking of calling them beach balls, with the inspiration photo being a summery (I don't think that is even a word)  type of photo.

I started out by slightly doing some resizing on the computer so I would have a variety of different sizes of balls. Then I printed them on some heavy weight cardstock so when I used the watercolors the cardstock wouldn't warp.

I used some various dye inks and made some watercolors by daubing the inks on a clear block then adding some water. I then colored the balls in an ombre fashion....starting with the lightest blue and going to the darkest. Very fun.
After that I embossed a clear sparkle embossing powder on top of each one.
But then I had to cut each and every one out. Hard? Yes. Did it take a long time? Yes. But worth it? Very.

After I cut them all out, I adhered them to the card, (some with some foam for dimension), then added some blue watercolor splatter, and then some gems. Then I added the digi stamp sentiment that went with the balls.

Hope you like it! I am really happy with it! :)

Today I have to work for 5 hours, and I might have to work in the garden when I come home.
But it's nice, since I work at an ice cream shop, I get to buy myself a smoothie or sundae or something when I leave for the day. Yum.

Have a great weekend!
