Happy!

Gooood evening everybody! Today I have a shaker card to share with you using a fun citrus color palette:

I created a shaker with a backround stenciled with gelatos, and I filled it with some fun Studio Calico Wood Veneer shapes, and some gelato colored confetti. Fun, right!?

I really need a confetti die. I had to hand punch or die cut each of these little circles! Does anyone know of a good one for just basic circle confetti die that has circles in various sizes?

Hope you had a nice day! I'm getting ready to go skiing this Friday. I hope it won't be too cold! I plan on taking some photos to post here. I should have a video for you tomorrow!

Pretty in Pink!

Today is Papertrey Ink's January Blog Hop. The theme was pink! I had so much fun with this. I pulled out all my pink inks and just went crazy! :)

I LOVE this inspiration group of images (above). Nichole does such a lovely job!

And here is my creation:

I did a fun technique using dye inks and some water to color the flowers. I'll be sharing it in a video soon of how I do it. It is SO much fun, and the results are so beautiful!

I hope you are staying warm! I love the snow, but I like to keep warm when I'm in the house.

This is Big!

Hey everyone!  Sorry I haven't posted in a few days. I have filmed a few videos that should be up soon! I'm really enjoying filming them. Here's a card that I wanted to share with you using a very different technique:

I actually used eye shadow on this card! I stamped the starburst in Versamark, then applied eye shadow on top and it sticks quite well. I just brushed off the excess.

To keep with the softer tone, I stamped the sentiment in grey. And, of course, I had to add wood stars. :)

Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow!

Good evening! Hope you have had a wonderful day! I had a lovely day. I went out with my dad for the day to go see a special engine on a train, and it snowed, which was beautiful! Then I cleaned up my craft area. Tonight I have a "snowing" shaker card for you!

I made a shaker, using a stenciled backround, and added some perfect pearl stamped "snow" on the top of the acetate.

Hope you like it as much as I do!

Sunshine and Butterflies

I'm back with a tutorial for a card using gelatos, for the guest designer call for Faber Castell Design Memory Craft. In the video, I use gelatos three ways: I create a backround, I stamp with them, and I create a color wash which I splatter onto the card. Enjoy! (there is a supply list at the bottom of the post!)

We got a couple inches of snow today! oh yeah! Now me and my sis can go sledding again! Plus, it makes everything look so pretty and winter-y! (is that even a word? lol) I hope there is snow at the end of the month. I'm going skiing on the 31st and it would be nice to have some nice powder on the ground!

Blue and Gold

Hello! I've got a card to share that uses some gorgeous glitter finish embossing powder. This stuff is wow!

I stamped the blue rays of sun, then stamped and embossed the line rays, sentiment, "sunshine" sun ray and circle on top.

To create the gold embossed splatters I splattered water on the card, added some embossing powder and embossed it.

I just HAD to throw in some wood stars. lol. I am addicted to those things!

A Birthday Ensemble!

Hello all! I'm back today with a fun birthday party ensemble! It is for the current Lawnscaping challenge.

When I saw the above image, I though I should make a birthday ensemble! So I did!

I made a banner, pillow box, gift tag, gift bag and a card.

I used gelatos for the splatters and to color the balloons.

Cherish Moments

Hey! Sorry I haven't posted in a few days. I guess I was just too lazy. lol. Here's a fun card that could be used for Valentine's Day:

I stenciled the hearts. (oh, how I love to stencil!) and then stamped the sentiment. (I did second generation stamping for the "moments"). Then I threw in some adorable Studio Calico wood hearts.

Lately, I've been missing all the snow. We have like zero snow here! It's so sad, because I love winter sports...sledding, skiing, (well, there is still snow at the ski resorts...at least we have that!) I just really want all the snow back!

Live in the Sunshine

Bonjour! I hope you've had a nice Friday. We went ice fishing today, caught a couple fish. Anyhoo, here's a card using some Gesso and Gelatos:

I applied the gesso to a sheet of cardstock, added gelatos over it, then impressed a non-inked stamp into the wet gesso. After it dried, I stamped the images on top, and added some stamped die cuts. I think "Live in the Sunshine" might be my favorite sentiment to use on a card. It's just a lovely message.

Double Stenciled Hooray

Hey all! I'm here with a card using the Double Stenciling technique, which I showed in a video a little bit ago.

I stenciled the tweed pattern twice, trimmed it and put the card together. Of course I just had to add enamel dots. hehe. ;)

I got a bunch of fun supplies today, and I'm going to do a haul video, so stay tuned for it!

Stenciled Circles

Hey! I hope you are staying warm! I've got a quick card to share.

This was a Papercrafts reject for one of their sketches. I stenciled on a sheet of cardstock, die cut the circles, then put it all together. For me, stenciling is very relaxing and fun.

By the way, I'm going to have some videos up soon! Stay tuned. I filmed a bunch today, and have plans to film more. ;)

Howdy

Howdy! That's the sentiment for the card I have today, which is one I am very happy with!

I had lost of embossing fun with this one! I stamped the sun-rays and ground backround and poured on 3 different embossing powders and embossed it, then stamped and embossed the rooster and sentiment on top.

I adhered the panel at an angled for some added interest.

By the way, what do you think of my new blog look?

A Thank You in Green

Good evening! I think I caught a bit of a cold. :( I wanted to film some papercrafting videos, but I suppose it will have to wait. That is one of my New Year's Resolutions, to regularly do papercrafting videos, and you should be seeing some soon. ;) But, for now I have another entry for the current Runway Inspired Challenge. Here is the inspiration:

And here is my card:

I took the inspiration from the colors of the outfit. I stenciled the backround in a couple shades of green, stamped a sentiment and added some wooden stars (which I cannot stop using!) from Studio Calico.

I was so sad to hear about Archivers closing. :( I only ever went to one of the their stores, at the Mall of America, but it was amazing!

Happy New Year!

A very happy 2014 to you! I've been able to spend my day papercrafting today, which was a nice treat! I've got a New Year's card for you for the current CAS-ual Fridays challenge, and the 10 Minute Craft Dash.

I stamped the line and lanterns and colored them in with some Spectrum Noir markers.

I also added a New Year's sentiment. It took me 8 minutes and 46 seconds to create it!

I hope you had a lovely day! We were supposed to go on a shopping trip tomorrow to Barnes & Nobles, Joanns, Michaels, etc. (I would have taken my laptop to the Barnes & Nobles and gone to the Starbucks that is in it, bought some yummy drink and sat down and done a blog post or photo editing, which is lots of fun for me! I'm not too much of a book person) But, alas, there is a winter storm upon us and we are not going to be going anywhere. :( So I might be able to papercraft tomorrow while it storms on around us. :)

Until next time!

Jesus saves!

-Bethany

P.S. This is the last 10 Minute Craft Dash. I just want to say I am quite sad to see it go. I created for it quite often, though I didn't always get my entries posted, I really enjoyed it.
